Karen Blount

I have every paper where my dad ordered this Jeep in 1965. It has been mine for 19 years now and I have put about 5000 miles on it bringing the original miles to 34,343. There has never been rust on it because it lived in the South West. The original Indian Ceramic paint faded to a lovely pepto bismal pink. My daughter and I hand sanded and painted it the original paint code but went with a concept paint instead of the original enamel. I have done everything in my power to keep it as original as the day he bought it.

  1. Nice job on the Jeep, Karen.
I have a 63 CJ5, Tuxedo Park, that I bought new, from the dealer in 63. It is, also the Indian Ceramic paint color. The original seats were a matching color, too.
My son and I are in the process of restoring mine and will be repainting it the same color.
Do you happen to have the code number for the DuPont paint ?

    Thanks,
    Biff
