My son and I found this in a lot in San Gabriel California. It had been sitting there for over 10 years. It took my son and a friend all day just to get it onto a trailer to bring it home. We began to restore it about 6 years ago. There were a lot of issues with the body and weeds growing out of the water pump. Well after a long tear down we finally got it to a stage to begin to rebuild. The first thing we tackled was the engine. To our surprise the internal engine was in good condition and after replacing the carb, starter, water pump, distributor, and a tune up it ran. After that we tackled the rest of the drive train and rebuilt it completely. The front end was in really bad shape so we had to replace the front grill and both fenders. Once we got the body in ok shape we decided to paint it yellow and off set it with black. After driving it around at our home in Lake Havasu AZ for a year of two we decided to make it into a rock crawler. My son found an old Warn winch on line but when looking at it, it was missing parts so we found another one and made one out of two. We put 33’s off road tires and 1 ½ inch spacers for fender wall clearance and on board air compressor. We are very happy with the outcome and have had a lot of fun with it. When we are on the trails we turn heads and that’s a good thing.
