New Chrysler licensed Willys body painted in 2015 Jeep Bright White. Installed Summit crate motor – 190 HP Chevy V8 with custom headers, Saginaw steering box, aluminum radiator, white powder coated rims, BF Goodbridge 31’s, front disk brake kit, Warn rear tire carrier. We maintained stock 3 speed, but with all the torque the motor has, you can just keep it in 3rd gear on the road. Goes like hell, but maybe a little too exciting to drive above 50 MPH. Lots of custom adaptors and creative wrenching to make it all work…. We mostly use the Willys to get around town at our Jersey shore house. My wife and I have a number of sports cars, but we get more comments on the Willys than any of our other cars (except maybe my wife’s “66 Mustang convertible.
