Bill Foraker

Photos of my 1951 CJ3A. I bought the jeep earlier this summer and it needed lots of work.  Now it is running great with only a small problem or two to correct before the 2011 air show season.

12-10-2015 Update: Acquired in March of 2010, the 3A had been in a barn for years. After lots of work, Chester (named for Chester Nimitz) is doing well. I bought the jeep to work ground ops at air shows, but now it does parades and lots of other events also. Chester has worked several years at the big EAA event at Oshkosh and other shows also.

My wife says that when I die, she’s just going to ride around in the jeep to find her next squeeze. She’s seen what a guy magnet it is.

  1. Hi Bill, very nice jeep. I see you have the windshield vent. I would like to install that in my m38 windshield. I purchased the vent door which came with the door half of the catch . I need a few close up pictures of the catch assembly on the windshield frame so i can make the missing piece. The part attatched to the frame . Would you be able to send me a couple.
Either to my email or text to 631 487 7869. Thank you. Rob

  3. Rob,

I’m glad to take some pics for you. I’ll get them today and send them along. I never understood why the M-38 blocked that vent. It’s the air conditioner!

Email would probably be higher resolution, but I’ll do either way. If you would like email, send me a message at flyinsob@gmail.com
