My name is Cameron Danner and I am 17 years old and live in Napa California. In my town to graduate from high school you must do an outside school project where you must do something that you have never done before to better your self for life to come after high school, so I chose for my senior project to restore a 1948 Willys Pickup. My boss is a Jeep collector that owns a 1962 CJ5 and two Willys trucks and I chose to help him restore one of the pickups. I had a great time restoring this Jeep and in the middle of the process I fell in love with Jeeps and decided to buy one of my own. Now I am the proud owner of a 1943 MB and a 1947 CJ2A that I am in the middle of restoring. Restoring that Jeep was one of the biggest achievements in my life.
hey what size tires are you running. I have a 58′ lookin for new rubber. Are those the stock axles???
there 33 BF good wrench mud terren tires and yes there stock i have a timkin rear axle (sorry if i spelt that wrong) but yes they are stock the almost dont fit but it gives that eye catch to the truck the only thing that i do not like about them is it makes it a big harder to stop and my cluth is a bit tired so its ruff getting her going but other than that its a great idea for your truck

Hi Cameron I really find it interesting that someone at your age got to experience this! If you ever want another project hit me up! I have a 1948 rustic running Jeep Willy’s Pickup 4×4 all original! I live in the sierra’s and it’s sitting at the moment. I’m looking for someone interested in buying it, and putting some love back into it, instead of sitting in weather. If I had the money I would of done it awhile back. It’s a good running truck, just not the prettiest, lol and not the fastest like you said.
