I am working on a 1942 MB at present. I passed this 1947 CJ-2A and stopped. The owner was planning on hauling it to the scrap yard that week. I decided it needed another chance so he delivered it to my house. My wife stopped asking long ago “How many Jeep parts do you need?”
That 47 is somewhat like my 46 looked when I first saw it 7 years ago, although mine was maybe somewhat worse. You will be happy when you have restored it, they are a remarkable vehicle.

Anthony, I know what you mean. I have a few trucks, (approx 12 I think) wait till she finds I accumlated 3 jeeps, hahah (1) 46 CJ-2A (1) 57 CJ-5 (1) approx 1950 Wagon and I’m just starting. What can I say I always had a heart for the little guys just never kept them. I will at least keep one this time.
