Very nice restoration and very original. I have 2 M38 both 1952, one is very complete and original when I bought it and the other one was a basket case. I’m in the process of collecting parts for the basket case to bring it back to its original condition. My 1954 Willys M170 Frontline Ambulance was also featured as Jeep of the Week by Kaiser Willys. Who made your Canvas seats and tops? Thanks, Jun Tolentino of Gilbert Arizona
Your M38A1 is beautiful well done. I have a 1955 M38A1 and mine is in the same condition as your my question is my fenders are round and your are straight. Have ant thoughts on why?
Nice restoration enjoy it and pass it on. I have a 1953 M38 that I plan on passing on to my grandson some day. Hopefully he will appreciate the History and value of these Military Vehicles.
Would have been nice to see it restored to original condition I don’t think there are enough U.S. Air Force Jeeps from our early history.
That M38 is really perfect, congratulations.
I am completing the restoration of a CJ3b and plan to use the same militari top.
How did you fix the front of the canvas top to the windshield frame?
Many thanks for any suggestion from you or any other Jeeper.
Happy New Year to all ! from Brazil
Hi Terence,
It is a 1952 M38. Thanks for asking that, I’m sure others wanted to know also! Have a great day!
Nice job!!!
No mention of the year?
Beautifull, “the best of the flat fenders” !
From Uruguay in South America!
Desde Uruguay.
The Jeep looks fantastic. good job.
Excellent restoration. I, too, have an M38, and it is in USAF Blue and sports the markings of the Civil Air Patrol as a historic example of CAP’s service as the USAF Auxiliary, and to remember the Jeeps’, as well as the members of Civil Air Patrol’s, service, volunteerism and countless hours spent in humanitarian Missions for America.
lovely restoration work. New life for the old soldier!
Nice looking M38. I also have one. It was my grandfather’s. It has been in our family for close to forty years. Garage kept. All original.
Well done: I have a 54 Highhood; They are gems; Best regards:
Nice looking old military jeep. You did a fantastic restoration. Keep up the outstanding work.
