I’ve been searching for the right project Willys for about 10 years. I finally found it about 45 mins from my house in San Diego. The Jeep, which has been dubbed “Mclovin'” is an honest, fairly straight AZ Jeep that simply needed some good ol” TLC. I have had a blast in the last year working with friends, my father, my wife and my 3 daughters on this project. Truly a blessing and a “therapeutic” endeavor to undertake… very rewarding. Thanks to some quality parts from Kaiser Willys, Mclovin’, is about ready to get back on the road.

Looking for, Willys Jeep Parts, Willys Jeep replacement parts, Willys Jeep body parts and much more for your 1941-1971 Willys vehicle, you have come to the right place!
Thanks for the encouragement….I needed that. I bought a new block and having a machine shop put the engine together for me. It was suppose to be done by Christmas, but who knows when now as they haven’t started on it yet. I figured once it is running the family will get more excited especially my 14 year old daughter who is about ready to turn 15 and can get a learner’s permit. I see that there is a Jeep Jamboree in WY this August and I thought that would be a good test for it.
Thanks again for the encouragement and wisdom…especially about the “general”!

Merry Christmas and wish you a prosperous 2018.
From my years involved with many Jeeps and several
marriages. May I offer my humble opinion, I presently
am finishing up my 71’ Willys. I originally became concerned
due to Family (wife, daughter and son plus Guant Schnauzer).
Appeared to not show any interest…. however, hold the
course. As a reminder… as an Marine, retired and encountered
obstacles in my life…. please Sir. Beware of poking the Grneral.
Term I now use to refer to my wife.
Stay the course and enjoy restoring your Willys! You
focus on your project, be available when called (summoned).
Do not loose your smile or focus. As this Willys approaches finality….
ask again for input and for any areas or items you may have
overlooked. Another uninvolved set of eyes will see more than
either you realize. In summation,
One properly retains and enjoys my 71’ & 72’ simply because both of these
are nutrition for the Ol Olive Brain Housing group!
Yes Sir, this ol Marine understand your delimena. Do not sway,
Smile, enjoy your project! Build the Willys
….. “THEY WILL COME! Suggest; Put together a little history in
An Olive Drab binder/ folder. Place Ol Glory at front of cover with an image
of this “Dependable Work Horse” on the binder. Place same on Drivers
Seat. This Willys is an member of The Willys Family Line!
Willys is the Machine that remained true to the mission!
Then ask your family to join and welcome him to your family.
Now… time for that first ride! Then write about how your family feels about Willys!
Your Willys is finally at home!
Just an old Retired Jarhead! Semper Fi!
Dear Brian,
You have accomplished something that I have not been able to. You have shared your love and passion for old Jeeps with your family. I have tried to get my family excited, but while my wife is patient and puts up with me on my Jeep project, she nor my kids want to get involved. I want to know what your secret is!
Happy Jeeping!
