This 1950 Willys M38 belonged to the Colombian Army, after the Korean war a few vehicles were brought to Colombia as a gift for the army. In 1970 these vehicles were sold. My dad bought one of them and used it as his daily for many years. One day in the early 90s the M38 broke and spent almost 20 years in the backyard. I started the restoration when I began high school, it took a lot of money and time to get it fully restored, but it was worth it.

Congrats nice job! I have a willys 52 full restored in Quito Ec, all the parts I got from Kaiser but the military tires I found in Lima Peru.
Definitavemente es una pasión mantener vivos estos Jeep yo tengo uno del año 48 M38 cambiado el motor y caja pero funciona todo en Ecuador no hay las llantas 600×16 con labor de tipo Militar.
Estoy feliz de tenerlo.
Always happy to see them restored to original. I have a 1952 M38, the body is all original, now has all new wiring to 12 V but pretty much original other than that. I have owned it for better then 20 years and am now of the age to let it go to a new owner but am reluctant as I would like to know it will be keep original and not butchered. If anyone interested I can be reached at 952-240-0120 Gary
