I tried for years to purchase this Jeep. Four years ago the mechanic who owned it called me and asked if I still wanted the Jeep. I said of course, he gave me a number and I choked. So I offered two trucks that I knew a mechanic couldn’t pass up. He went for it and called me, so I hurried down and brought the trucks. My wife came and we cleaned it out, checked the oil and cranked it. I ran to get gas the lights didn’t work so my wife followed me home with her flashers. Two miles into the trip I discovered the lug nuts were loose but I had no lug wrench, I waited for my father in law to bring tools. Fixed it, made it home and got right to work. Brakes, lights, hunted and found a back seat, seat belts (I know that the Jeep gods are angry ). We loaded up the kids for our first adventure.. geocaching which was so much fun… during this first adventure the fuel pump dies. Replaced the fuel pump then sanded and painted, built the back bumper, added a wench on it again. It is still not complete but I also built an off road teardrop trailer to match it 99%.
