My 64 CJ-5 came to me by way of a Georgia barn where it spent many years collecting dust and spiders as well as providing a home for mice and squirrels. The wiring was gone and replacing it was my first step in bringing it back to life. Kaiser Willys provided the harness which was a snap to install. The engine was next and I found that anything rubber from hoses to seals were dry rotted, yep, replaced all. After a Kaiser Willys fuel tank, new lines and a fuel pump it was ready for ignition.
After 25+ years Old Blue fired right up. Lots left to do. Just finished the axel rebuild and steering knuckles / king pins/ bearings etc. now on to the suspension. My lovely wife needs to release funds for my leaf spring overhaul kit haha. Still need to get dash complete with a new instrument cluster, rear tail lights, basic body work and new tires a Blue should be ready for the streets again by next spring. I am new to the Jeep family and The Kaiser Willys Folks have really been the support I needed to keep this project moving. You have a question they always pick up the phone and help.

Looking for, Willys Jeep Parts, Willys Jeep replacement parts, Willys Jeep body parts and much more for your 1941-1971 Willys vehicle, you have come to the right place!
I did a similar project for my parents ’64 CJ5. It is now alive again and I recently used it to teach my 12 year old daughter how to drive a manual transmission! Kaiser Willy’s Auto Supply was a great help in supplying parts and knowledge. Next project is to fix the transmission synchronizer. And yes, I did teach her how to double clutch so it’s not an urgent repair. It gets used year ’round on trails, plowing snow, and other projects that need a pull or push.
Your project looks a lot more invasive than mine was and your sheet metal appears quite nice. Congratulations on a nice job!
I just purchased a 69 CJ5 and was wandering we’re a good site is to purchase new parts
Hi Tom. Enjoying it!! I would like to see a picture of yours. If you have a few of the emergency brake handle install front and back it would be appreciated. Not sure what hardware is required at the firewall
Thank you
Geoff
Our 1964 has given us many happy rides. We have taken “Eeyore” to Jeep trails in five western states. It is driven most every day summer and winter.
Your work on your Jeep should bring you many years of joy.
