My Willys MB came off the Overland assembly line June 14th, 1944. It was one of 312 made that day. I found the Jeep on Craigslist. The guy selling it had it in an aircraft hanger in Big Bear, CA. It was totally disassembled, rusty, and broken. Even the engine was disassembled to the block and it was cracked too! I had never done a full restoration but 22 months later it was back to life. I love my Willys MB! And every time I drive it, it makes me proud knowing that I rebuilt a piece of history and that I can drive it. Everywhere I go people love it and think it’s super cool! And now I’m rebuilding another one, a Ford GPW! I’m now obsessed with Jeeps!
