  1. Very nice jeep. I am working on my 51. Do you mind sharing where you got the 50 cal and mount?

  3. Being you have restored a m38a1 (nice job) I have a question. I just purchased a 1952 m38a1 and am
working on the front replacing the wheel bearings and brakes. The question I have is the outer wheel
bearing nut when adjusted, what holds the nut in place and from turning? When I dismantled the parts
I noticed there was no cotter pin or snap ring. I had looked in manuals and do not see anything to hold
nut in place. Any suggestions you have would be most appreciated.

    Thanks Jim

  5. Hi Dave,

There is a large flat washer that has to have bent up around the nut on one or two sides. You have to get it started with a big screwdriver and then pound it up to until it hits the nut.

    I hope this helps.

Nice jeep..I have ’54 that I am learning to do the brakes, etc.
