Darell Sharp
1951 CJ-3A. The only original parts in the photo are the grille, cowl, and rear fender wells. Notice the frame horns, the frame is a cut down DJ 5 frame, all but 1 cross member had to be removed. It was cut in the middle and welded back, the front and rear had to be cut off. The front bumper is angle iron from bed rails. The windshield frame and seat frames are 3/4″ pipe. The inner frame is cut up 2 1/2 ton frames. The front fenders and hood are from 16 gage cold rolled sheet. All the floor and floor members are hand made. Wheels are 151 mutt with center hole cut out and rims are cut off and re-offset. I made the top and bows and seat covers also.

Darell,
I noticed that you made the top and bows for your CJ3A – very cool! I’d like to do the same thing with my CJ3A. I was wondering if you have any plans, dimensions, etc. for your top and bows, and if you could send them to me by email?
Thanks,
CD
