When I bought this 1954 Willys Truck, the glass was broken out and there was not a straight piece of medal on it. I have put a AMC 232 engine in it, and Saturn overdrive. I tried to keep every thing original except for the engine and overdrive. I have done a off body restoration on it. It cruises nicely at 60-65 MPH even with 5:38 rear axle, due to the overdrive. I put it in a car show in Oregon where there were 200-300 cars and to my surprise, it took first place in the 4×4 class. I painted it willow green, with flakes of pearl, trimmed in flat black. I have $10,000 worth of parts in it, but what fun and enjoyment it has brought me. Wherever I go it creates a crowd!

What a coincidence – two guys named Guyer with Jeep trucks. Yours is a beauty. Mine is an ugly mug, but it’s still working ( you can see my pic on this blog). This is my second one – first one bought in 1971. Maybe we’ll meet sometime – Dan Guyer
