  1. By now you must realize that your photo is of a mid-50s into early ’60s Checker! However, I will tell you that this generation of Checker did use the hooded or “frenched” headlight doors of the ’54 and ’55 Willys, which also made it into early Aero Willys models in Brasil. I have three Aeros at present, with a fourth, a ’63 Aero Willys 2600 on its way to me!

    I just discovered your comments today about my 1958 Checker A8 pictured in the photos. As you know, this is not an Aero and I have no idea how these became labeled as such. Those are photos I took, and posted. Willys Aero are good looking cars though and it’s interesting how hooded headlight doors really make a car. FYI Henry J parking lamps in front.

    I just discovered your comments today about my 1958 Checker A8 pictured in the photos. As you know, this is not an Aero and I have no idea how these became labeled as such. Those are photos I took, and posted. Willys Aero are good looking cars though and it’s interesting how hooded headlight doors really make a car. FYI Henry J parking lamps in front.
