We are restoring my dads 1951 Jeep Willys. This Jeep is considered our family heirloom. The first owners were my grandparents Frank and Jessie George who brought it just after the war. When dad was a teenage he had a newer Jeep and ask my grandpa to trade the Willys Jeep with him and he did. If this Jeep could talk the stories it would tell. It’s been there for marriage, five kids, family dog, grand kids and great grand kids. There isn’t a mountain in Colorado that this Jeep didn’t conquer. Dad passed 8 years ago, the Jeep has been started to be restored by my brother who also passed, so now my husband and I are taking on the job. I was youngest of the five children my seat was right in middle of the floor between the two front seats. My four older brothers set on the wheels, and of course the family dog rode in the middle with me. What sight we must have been piling out of the Jeep when we went out outing!! I love hearing the engine roar when going down the highway..
