Here are photos of my 1951 Jeep. It was a civilian CJ-3A, militarized to M38 last year, including many pieces furnished by Kaiser Willys. I bought this Jeep 22 years ago and now it is complete as I planned. Thank you for your help when I needed, giving me your opinion and recommendations.

Best regards,

  1. Is it possible to get your resource for the Desert Beige paint you used? It is absolutely fabulous!
I am completing my CJ-3A restoration and am at the decision point on finish paint color. I have seen nothing better than the color on your Willy’s! I would be indebted if you could let me know where you obtained it.

  3. To Michel Tracy:

Thank you for your congratulations! As i said in my history the original colour of my jeep before the militarization was beige, so I decid to paint it in the same colour, like the SAS jeeps of the WWII in Africa´s theater. This colour isn´t common in the M 38 Jeeps, but I like it as it is. The exact ink colour I copied from pictures of military vehicles from especilized books. I live in Brazil and here the ink shops can do any colour you need, you need only to give him the sample. Here they have the “Sahara Beige” as a standard colour. As all military vehicle the colour must be mat (30%), but I think that your CJ 3A will be bright, OK?
Best regards. Good luck and send us photos of your jeep after finished the job.
