This is a NOS Willys 6-230 Truck “Strip Chassis” that was ordered from the factory in 1963 by a fellow in Hollywood. He intended to build a motor home on the chassis but that never happened. There was an article on this chassis in the West Coast Willys publication a few years ago. This vehicle is a serial #1 as seen in the picture of the vin plate “10001”. I traded Paul Barry (Willys America owner) a 1947 2wd wagon for a very nice 230 cab & front clip. There were only around 7500’ish trucks ever made with the 230 engine, it was the end of the line when the motor was introduced. I f you can see in the pictures, the crate is stenciled “Strip Chassis”. It came with a crate of parts including a tar top battery with electrolyte filling instructions, it has never been filled. The guys at Interstate batteries think it would work fine if filled. It also came with all 5 wheels & tires.
nice pictures where did u get the genuine jeep parts
