I have a history question. Jeep just released the 4 Gladiator. Did Willys, Kaiser, AMC, or early Chrysler ever produce a 4 door truck? I’ve seen pictures of numerous custom trucks, nothing that leads me to think there was a factory made model.
I seem to be the first girl to chat with u guys. I have a 55 willys wagon. Have had it for 30 years.Redoing the seats that were redone on the 70s im guessing. They seats r stripped down to springs. had to repair springs and now id like to see how the original upholstry was applied. Anybody have pics of a front 3/4 seat of a close to original upholstery job? Cant figure out how the vinyl (im redoing in leather) was attached to the back metal plate that is screwed into the frame. Thanx for any help.
Herrema SHOWS A 49 PICKUP. BUT IT IS NOT A 49. NOT SURE WHAT YEAR BUT NOT A 49. NICE JOB HOWEVER.
Great pics. All you truck guys. Thanks, enjoyed. Spending lots of time fixing up my 48 and 49 truck. These Willys are great. Ranger Ron Benton
I have a 1951 pickup and I used Beard/RedArt suspension seats with the tilt of the back more upright and the headrest tilted even further forward than the backs. Beard/RedArt make a lot of seats for off-road vehicles including desert race vehicles and sand buggies.
Very comfortable seats. Yes the tiny Willys cab is tight but with how I changed the amount recline in the seat backs and headrests, they work very nicely.
My truck is shown on this site under my name.
Love the site! What bucket seats fit best in my ’60 Willys Pickup?
Thanks,
Don
I’m a first time Jeep owner, just bought a ’60 Pickup. What kind of bucket seats will fit without crowding the driver too far forward into the steering wheel and dash?
Thanks,
Don

If you tried to contact me I appoligize. We have comcast for phone service and they had a problem and wiped out our messages and service for a time. If you are interested in the 1948 Willy pickup please call me on my cell. 253-740-3207. I want to assure anyone that is interested this is not a scam. If you want to see the truck I can arrange a time to do that.
If anyone is interested, I have an 89 year old friend who has a 1948 Willy pickup that is in pretty nice condition with (I think) a 350 engine he put in it but never started. I only saw it briefly in his garage and it looked really good. He is hurting for money and said he would be willing to sell it so I told him I would try to help. If you are interested you can call me on 253-630-5419 my home number or 253-740-3207 my work cell. Before this I didn’t know what a Willy was. I found yours and other sites quite interesting.
Great trucks – look forward to getting my “down-under” pics up when complete so you can see what we can do in Aussie

Love the variety of these trucks, no two the same!
Never have to see yourself coming down the other lane.
They sure beat the Bubbles and Boxes of late model cars and trucks. Tough little trucks for sure!
Love the simplicity of the Willys.
Stock or modified they are great, can find projects for dirt cheap, too. I have bought “parts” trucks that are driven away after a little TLC.

I love this site, best place for parts and to drool!
Your site turned out great thanks for posting my pictures.
I traded my 92 toyota in the spring of 2009 and needed a plow truck. I’ve had a love for willys trucks since the first one i got when I was 16 in 1970. Ive’ owen 2 more trucks and a station wagon since then so I decided to get another truck to just plow my drive way. I found a 1960 in trout creek montana and bought it for $700.00 it didn’t run and had been sitting for around 20 years. while looking for parts at a local yard my wife found some one with a 1958 that had a running motor so I bought it for $500.00. 8 months later I have a nice running truck that looks great from 20 feet away and I love it.
I’ve already submitted 3 photos and you can see a lot more at my face book page.
