Here are some pictures of my 1956 Jeep Pickup. It was originally a plow truck for the South Chicago Railway. The truck came with the original quote and sales papers from Joe Dry Packward Willys in Michigan City, Indiana. This summer it won first place in the Gilmore Car Museum Red Barn Spectacular show for the truck class.

I too have a Willys 56 Jeep and it appears to be the same color (Can you tell me the color name for your jeep) Thanks so much cpopp
for sale???????
do you know where I can find a front bumper?
INTERESTED IN YOUR WILLYS JEEP
I have owned a 56 pickup for years so if you have any questions I would be more than happy to do so. If you are trying to go original I noticed a few things from your pictures. Your canister oil filter should be orange, and also I noticed you do not have the JEEP insignia on your tail gate. DALE
It Still has a 6L-226 Super Hurricane engine in it. We had to find a differnt block because the engine that was in the truck had a cracked block. We tried to keep it as original as possable.
Very nice 56 James. I have a 61 that will be needing a lot of TLC. Bryan, that looks like it still is a L6-226 Super Hurricane in there. I brought mine back from the dead (hadnt been running in 15-20yrs) with a simple pull start to get everything running again. I dont think i will swap out the engine, the flathead 6 has grown on me!
Great looking…i have a ’57 that needs a full restore, what engine did you replace the L6-226 Super Hurricane with???
