Here are some pics of a 1954 Willys we have. This started as a confused mess when we got it and with your help it now runs and stops fine. Although it isn’t made for the purist it is a fun little truck. It still has original gearing and axles. It has an overdrive which makes the highways a little better and a 250 Chevy straight six. Seats were removed and replaced with leather buckets. We tore it down to the frame to undue 50 years of backyard engineering and found the frame to be solid other than fixing the welds from when whoevever shortened it. The truck is also solid steel and original.
We would again like to say thanks for all your help with parts and answering questions when needed. We will be back for more parts as we replace things.
Thanks,
Andy Reimold
The paint is John Deere green. I than shot green and gold color shift into the clear coat
The 250 works great. I can go down the road at 65 and be comfortable. Off road it’s a Billy goat. The motor has never given me an issue, and we just now wore out the rear end. Not a bad run time. New gears coming soon
Hey Andy, how does it perform with that Chev six in it? I”m thinking of putting a Dodge Slant Six in mine.
Great looking! Could you tell me the specific paint use? Thanks, Lee (leebookermd@yahoo.com)
