This is a ’48-50-62 Jeepster. 1948 body over a 1950 Willys Station Wagon frame/trans/axles, and a 1962 Buick 198 engine. I keep it functional, not a show car, and drive it all over California and Nevada. Have been to the geographical middle of Nevada, all over the California coast, and up over 9000 ft in the Sierra Nevada mountain range.
Mr. Chapman- Great story & Great PHOTOS. Wonderful that you get so much use out of your ‘Jeepster’ with the other components it sits atop.

Very cool. Did not know Jeepster fit wagon frame.
Very practical power, love Buick V6 in Jeep
Nicely done!
That’s a great Jeepster and I especially like that you’re using it as intended! I’ve never appreciated the “perfect” show car kind of restoration. I am currently looking at Jeepsters but wondering about the interior room, as I’m 6’3″ and have a leg-room problem in many vehicles, Any comment along that line? Thanks.
Beautiful jeep. I have one like it that needs work. Have most of all the trim an other stuff. If you know any one interested in restoring one please feel free to share or contact me. Love to see some one make beautiful again. It’s not original for the motor. My dad put in a 327 in it.,but never finished it. Thank you for you time.
