Our Jeepster was bought in West Virginia by my brother, Robert Vallance, in ’59 and driven in his last year of High School. We would load 6 or 8 guys in it to ride around our home town.
I used it in ’62 for my senior year. It was parked in a field in ’72 and rested till ’85. Then, it moved to my house in Tennessee and was completely dismantled. It languished in my garage until 2008 when we began to rebuild it. My brother-in-law, Lee Conn, did the reconstruction…and painting. It still needs some trim pieces and a top. But, we are enjoying it on the pretty days.
