I found this car sitting in a barn for over 20 years. Bought it and it sat in my barn for 4 years before I started the restoration. It was a frame off and about 5 years later it was done. I restored it as close to 100% original as humanly possible. For example the fuel pump I found had no glass bowl and the original did, so after hunting around I finally found the one I needed. Another was the top most of the new ones are vinyl but the original was canvas, and I found a company that made it out of canvas. I was surprised to find how easily and readily parts are available. The real shocker was the re chroming cost, but the company I found did a better than excellent job. Thanks for looking at my Jeepster. -Grant Wehrfritz
I have seen your Jeepster photos and it looks great. I have recently bought a 48 Jeepster and like you would love to restore it as original..l noted that you were keen to have a canvas top made, which I would like also. Can you please recommend someone who supplies well made tops?
I’m in Sydney Australia and there are only 2 other Jeepsters in the country! Can’t get any advice over here! Any information you could provide would be greatly appreciated. Cheers Phill D
