When I was 16 my Dad gave me a 1963 CJ-3B and I had possibly the best time of my life driving my Willys in Ecuador-South America. Unfortunately I had an accident and my older brother who was in charge of our house at that time sold my Jeep for about 50 dollars. I waited 40 years to find a rusted and almost abandoned CJ-2A. I paid sixty times the money that my brother received trying to restore it but just when I was starting to enjoy driving a Willys again, my daughter was planning her wedding. So I sold my Jeep to buy her the wedding dress. I do not regret what I did because she was very beautiful and happy during that special event. I know that one day I will have a Willys again, in the meanwhile enjoy some photos of my ex CJ-2A project.

Good job, Alfredo. You made the right sacrifice.
You are a good daddy.
Another Willys will be in your future.
There will be another just like Gary O said. Keep the faith Jeep guy,,,,,,,,,,,,,, I waited several years for mine as well.
I have a Willys Jeep, a 48 CJ-2A…no title, no motor or trans, and she needs quite a bit of work. But I’ll give her to you for $500. Just shoot me an email and I’ll send you a pic.
I love the jeep and the story!
Funny how you can love that old rusty beat up jeep you see in a field, or what’s left of it.
They just have something about them.
I’ve pulled my share of old jeeps out from under weeds, piles of parts or someone’s abandoned dream out of a garage and they all feel like finding a treasure.
I have six of them now, but there’s been many more in the past.
I’m sure you’ll have another one soon and enjoy it the same.
They become more of a family member than just another old car.
Once it’s in your blood, in never goes away.
I did enjoy the pictures and admire the work you put into it plus your decision to help your daughter! You will find another willys!
