These 4-134 L head chain driven motors are rebuilt here in the USA.
SHIPS TRUCK FREIGHT FOR FREE.
Features: Thoroughly cleaned and hot tanked. The head, all hardware and sheet metal components (timing cover, etc.) are media blasted. The block and head have been checked for cracks (magnafluxed and pressure tested). Hardened seats have been installed on exhaust valves. Valves have been re-machined or replaced, depending on the condition of the original, and all valve springs have been replaced. The camshaft is an original (re-machined), or has been replaced with new. Lifters have been re-machined or replaced.
The block is bored oversize only enough to clean taper (to preserve as much material as possible). Final honing on the block is done with plateau hone to create the absolute best finish possible with an automatic cylinder hone (Sunnen). The deck surface of the block has been checked and re-machined (if necessary). A wet stone grinder is used to produce the best finish possible. The surface of the head is also checked and re-machined (always) with a wet stone grinder. The crankshaft has been re-machined, and the block line bore has been checked and re-machined (if necessary). Connecting rods are checked for out-of-round and re-machined. The final assembly is done in a climate-controlled, clean assembly room, free of dirt and debris.
After final assembly, the oil system is pressurized with 40 lbs. and the engine is rotated to ensure that the engine is primed properly. Finally, the engine is smoke-tested (while slowly rotating by hand) to verify that there are no gasket leaks prior to shipping.

Rebuilt Long Block 4-134 L Engine – Part#: 4134LMOTOR
Q: I own a M38A1 and am wondering if this option will be available soon for 413-4 F engines? It would be super to have this offer for a new engine for an M38A1 that could just be dropped in. Thanks.
- A: Yes we have these too at the same price. Please call me toll free. We can help.
Q: I have a CJ-2A that has a front mount plate that both mount angles face to the rear. Which type mount plate do these engines have? I know the later model front mount plates has one mount angle (ear) facing forward and one facing aft.
- A: We can usually get it either way.
Q: Do you have any plans in the future of selling a rebuilt 6-226? Thanks
- A: We sell complete engine overhaul kits. Part number: 226L is the way to go.
Q: Is the engine prepared for todays gasoline?
- A: Yes that is correct. They use stainless inserts and valves.
Q: I just found out that my 4-134 F head engine cannot be rebuild, due to a crack on top of block near the piston hole #2 right below head stud. Please let me know if you offer the hurricane 4-134 F head. 1951 Truck it’s a 473. I see you advertised the L engine and not the F head 4-134.
- A: Yes we do offer the F head engine. Please call us toll free. It is the same price as the 4-134 L.
Q: How much horse power does it have? Friends are talking about installing 4 cyclinder cummings diesel motots for more power. Will tranny and transfer case work, or, would they have to be replaced? I AM KEEPING WHAT I HAVE. FRIENDS ARE ASKING THE QUESTIONS.
- A: The 4-134 engine are also called 463 engines. Which stands for 4 cylinder 63 horse power.
