New Old Stock Emission Control PCV Valve – Part#: A6895
Q: What does this do?
- A: It is a primitive emission control.
Q: I have a ’67 CJ-5 with the F Head 134. I have yet to find a PCV valve anywhere on this Jeep. There isn’t anything coming out of the valve cover nor an orifice in the valve cover for a valve. Did some of these come w/o the PCV Valve or is it located elsewhere? I would like to purchase one of these and any other hardware to get this Jeep back to factory spec.
- A: This should work for you just fine. All you’ll have to do then is make the steel breather line for it.
Q: Does this have the spring loaded valve part inside?
- A: Yes that is correct.
Q: Where does it go?
- A: This typically screws right into the intake manifold but can go anywhere inline with the breather.
Q: How do I install this part?
- A: It just screws in to your intake manifold or lines in.
Q: Do you have one in stock……checked on line and either I am having a problem ordering or you are sold out?
- A: Yes we currently have these in stock.
Q: Does this PCV Valve fit the 6-226 engine? I have a 1962 Willys Station Wagon with a 230 tornado. If not where is one that I can purchase?
- A: The 6-230 used a different one. Please call us toll free.
Q: Do these wear out? How do you know if it needs to be replaced?
- A: They will get worn thru the years for sure and freeze up. I would check the spring inside of yours.
Q: Is online pricing always current?
- A: Yes on some items the catalog price may be different from the online price. Online pricing is always current.
Q: Will this cure the condensation inside the dipstick tube?
- A: It should help for sure. These help ventilation.
Q: Does this have any internal parts or is it just a fixed restriction?
- A: It is a fixed restriction.
Q: Is it spring loaded or just restricted air flow the one I have had no spring.
- A: These do have a small internal spring. There are different designs however and I have seen the other style too.
