New Differential Spider Gear Set – Part#: 926544
Q: What is the tooth and spline count on these gears?
- A: These are 10 tooth like original
Q: Does this kit come with the pin that hold the two small spiders gears in the carrier?
- A: Yes it is a complete spider gear set.
Q: I have a 1947 truck front end snapped long shaft in the last 11/2″ in the spider gear spline, shaft looks more modern like a CV knuckle instead of a u joint, was the retrofit or original, my ring gear id is 43-8 ratio yet I see these are 10 teeth how can I get this right and are there other years to interchange ? Is this a dana 25?
- A: You have a Dana 25. Please call us toll free. We can get you the proper front axle shaft. They originally used a rheppaza ball joint in there.
Q: Is there a difference between Dana and Spicer with regards to the differential? On page 43 of your catalog the words “spicer differential” appears but this catalog indicates Dana. I have the following 1959 Willys Truck: VIN: 55268 49193. I found “25″ stamped in the front differential case. I found a tag on front differential housing showing: 59-8 4:88. I need the correct spider gear set and I believe your catalog item #926544 is what I should order. Please advise if this is the correct item.
- A: They are the same. Spicer made Dana. Yes that would be the correct one for you. Thanks!
Q: Do all three axles (23/25/27) really have the same spider gears? And there are no differences between front and rear axles?
- A: Yes they all used the same. Thanks!
