This Jeep came into our family in 1968 when I was 10 years old from a Forest Ranger friend of ours. It was the first car I learned to drive. The retro 70’s look was me and my toy poodle in 1974 when I was 16 (pic #1 if you couldn’t guess). My Dad had first painted it gold, then later brown.
It sat dormant for about 20 years in his backyard until I moved it to my house (2nd pic). This year my Son (he is 17) decided to make our jeep his senior project. We took it down to the frame and did a complete rebuild.
60 years of rust and grime, many frustrations (frozen engine/tranny etc), but the final product is sooo worth it, and the time I got to spend doing this project with my son was priceless. The 3rd pic is of my son and his dog. The fourth is our resurrected family jeep that I am sure will remain in the family for many more years.
