Hi Guys,
I am rebuilding a Willy’s Aero Ace for my wedding next Sept. The car has been in the family since new. I am trying to find and decide what/how to put a new front suspension. I’ve been looking at a Mustang ll kit but am not overly eager to cut the frame.
I am rebuilding the original F-161 685 Hurricane. Any feed back or help would be greatly appreciated. Also looking for a new 1 piece windshield.
Thanks
Mathieu

Hey Bruce thanks for the info on windshield rubbers from Pat Walsh. I’m having trouble now locating a windshield for my 52 Aero ace. It had split windows and I’m trying to convert to a single windshield but I’ve been told that a single is not available for that particular year model. 53 and up have a larger windshield opening. Can you give me any guidance?
Tony, Believe it or not, Kaiser Willys has the tail light lenses in their parts. Check electrical then tail light parts. Aero lens are the very last item. I got all the rubber for my Aero (except vent window…nobody has that) at: http://www.patwalshrestorations.com. Good luck, Bruce
I am looking for window seals and tail light lenses for a 52 aero ace 2 door post
Sorry guys, I have not checked this site in some time. Rubber for the Aero can be found at Pat Walsh Restorations. You will have to Google it. However, vent window rubber is not re-popped by anyone that I know. My Aero is on the road with a Fat Man”s mustang 2 type power rack and pinion w/ power front disc, ididit tilt steering column, vintage a/c and a 318 Chrysler V8 with a 727 transmission. The rear end is an 8″ ford from a Maverick. I’ll be happy to send out some pics. Just send me a request at: brucec@icx.net.
Bruce, I have been watching your Willys Aero on several Willys image web sites, I actually had your car up on my computer as a screen saver when it was not finished. I recently saw the your car on another image site all finished and looking very nice. I have several questions about your car the most important is where did you manage to find the rubber parts for the Windshield and rear window and the door seals and trunk.
I curently have my 52 Willys Lark being striped of paint and rust. And I will be fitting it to a Morrison Chassis. I have selected a 2010 Camaro V-6 and 6 spped auto for the power train. Any help finding the rubber peices I need would be a great help.
Thanks, Wayne Erickson Seattle WA
