This is my 1954 Willys Station Wagon that our family has owned for a long time. The engine is a 6.0 LS truck engine; firebird/camaro intake manifold; medium Comp cam shaft; 10:1 pistons; custom stainless headers and exhaust and gas tank; R80 overdrive transmission; custom 9-inch Ford rear axle (so we could get the tires inside the fenders); tubbed rear wheel wells; boxed and x-braced stock frame; coil-over IFR with Wilwood brakes all around… more details later. It’s been a real labor of love. Been in the family ‘forever’, my sister, brother and I grew up driving it around central Nevada. No more 4-wheel drive though now, it will never see off-road again, we will all just have to live with those memories.

Beautiful wagon! I had a 1957 Jeep Wagon, Red/white, 6-226 flat head engine,2WD, and I loved it. However, it wasn’t a hi-way cruiser, and I burned a valve south of Richmond. I was a kid, fresh out of college, on the way to my first teaching job in Northern Virginia. During Christmas vacation, back home in SC, I traded it for a 1958 VW Karmann-Ghia coupe. The Ghia became an XK-140 DHC, which was destroyed in a wreck, and was folloewd by a Mark VII 4-door, and a XK-120 roadster. That became an ALFA-Romeo DOHC 6, in which I dated my bride of 47 years, then an MGA, an finally a 1971 Ford Pinto and a VW bus. I wish I still had the Jeep, but I’m working now on a 1952 M38A1. I’ll send pix when I’m done.
Best to all . . .
Congratulations on your gorgeous build. I really love the overall look & stance. I wish it was in my garage. Unfortunately, I sold my ’59 Panel Truck from Tx. It went to Ok. I’m not sure where it is now.
