My Grandfather bought the CJ-3B new in ’55, and after he passed my dad had it. He did not want to keep up with all the maintenance, so he passed it to me. I have a lot of great memories in that Jeep, I learned to drive in it. After many years of use and abuse on the ranch in the Texas hill country, this spring I brought it home. Working all summer, fixing, painting, part replacement and in September of ’16 got it back to it’s home in the hill country. I’m ready to get back to work and the fun of having my children drive it around just as I did 25 years ago.

Thank you for sharing. I learned to drive my Dad’s CJ3B when I was 11 in 1961. I have owned several Jeeps and now a 2004 Rubicon. Thank you for helping me stroll down memory.
Nice Job! Enjoy it to the fullest!
Looks a bit like NC. Nice family treasure. I would like to see the engines on these restored jeep photos. I have a ’54 M38A1 that I have kept original.
