Here are some pics of my Jeep Hotchkiss M201 in the SAHARA version. This version was developed in the late 50s to be used in the desert region of the french colonies. As special features it has a toolbox on the front, a spot light on the windshield, a special air filter on the front right wing, a second fuel tank under the passenger seat, a water jerry can between the 2 front seat and a double fuel system to cope with vapour lock. The tires are Michelin XC 6,50 x 16 with a road profile for better evolution in the sand. The color scheme is from the “3eme Groupe de Transport” based in Reggan (Algeria) in 1966-67.
