This truck has a Chevy 383 stroker V-8, TH350 automatic transmission, power brakes, power windows and door locks, A/C, Dana 44 front axle, Corp 14 Bolt rear axle, fully operational cast iron train horn, new bed (was able to transplant the original Willys tailgate logo into my new tailgate) and much more. All interior billet aluminum work was done on CNC equipment by my son while attending Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. Entire underside of cab, fenders and bed along with interior of cab has been sprayed with Line-X bed liner. Purchased this 1951 Willys Pick Up off E-Bay out of Nebraska in late 2004. Engine, transmission and axles were already installed when purchased. The work done by the previous owner was first class and included boxing in the entire original frame. All work except paint and upholstery was done at home in our garage with my 2 boys. It has been a fantastic project with many distractions that go with a family and raising 2 boys. It is clearly not a restoration, but it certainly draws a lot of attention.

Very nice completion, you should be very proud of that rig. Such a clean job on the engine compartment and the interior is outstanding.
Randy
Chris, I just found your request for interior photos. I will try to post some in the next couple of weeks or so.
Marshall
can you post pics of back wall and head liner please?
Marshall, thanks for the response. If you ever would have to sell the truck please contact me. I would be seriously interested. Outstanding truck ! Thanks again, Mitch
Mitch,
Thank you for the compliments.
Yes we are very proud of this truck, especially since it is our first project vehicle.
The color is Grenade Green Metallic which is a stock color from a 2006 Hummer H-3 (color code 31/WA209M).
Since all the work on the truck, other than the paint and interior, was done in my garage with my boys (the prior owner installed the engine, transmission, steering box and axles) we don’t have much labor costs in the truck. I did not keep close track of the costs since my goal was the end product not a specific dollar budget. That being said, I still have a good amount of money in this truck.
Marshall
Marshall, Don’t blame you. It is the nicest one I’ve ever seen that wasn’t stock. You and the boys must be very proud of yourselves. I have a couple of questions if you don’t mind? What color is that, and how much money invested in that beautiful truck? Thanks again Marshall, Mitch
Mitch,
Thank you
No this truck is not for sale.
My 2 boys would never approve of selling it.
Marshall
Very nice truck. Don’t suppose you would sell it?
Seats are Beard/RedArt suspension seats with the tilt of the back more upright and the headrest tilted even further forward than the backs. Beard/RedArt makes a lot of seats for off-road vehicles including desert race vehicles and sand buggies.
Very comfortable seats. Yes the tiny Willys cab is tight but with how I changed the amount recline in the seat backs and headrests, they work very nicely.
Marshall
Marshall,
I love your truck! What kind of seats did you put in it? Do they crowd you too far forward?
Thanks,
Don
