This truck has a Chevy 383 stroker V-8, TH350 automatic transmission, power brakes, power windows and door locks, A/C, Dana 44 front axle, Corp 14 Bolt rear axle, fully operational cast iron train horn, new bed (was able to transplant the original Willys tailgate logo into my new tailgate) and much more. All interior billet aluminum work was done on CNC equipment by my son while attending Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. Entire underside of cab, fenders and bed along with interior of cab has been sprayed with Line-X bed liner. Purchased this 1951 Willys Pick Up off E-Bay out of Nebraska in late 2004. Engine, transmission and axles were already installed when purchased. The work done by the previous owner was first class and included boxing in the entire original frame. All work except paint and upholstery was done at home in our garage with my 2 boys. It has been a fantastic project with many distractions that go with a family and raising 2 boys. It is clearly not a restoration, but it certainly draws a lot of attention.
