104: Randy Blackburn’s 1949 Willys CJ-2A
This is a 1949 CJ-2A my dad bought back in the 60’s. He got it out of a oilfield in Downey California. After working on it for quite a long time, the family started to race it in the sand the hill climb and the drags. It started out with the old flat head and progressed to a 1965 Chevy 2 ,4 cyl. which is now putting out 350HP, and the Jeep now lives in Oregon. We love this thing like part of the Family.
HAPPY JEEPIN!

Would you be able to tell me what size tires and rims you have on that Jeep? I’m looking to restore one and really like that size tire and rim. What make is the rim? Please email me at usmc4424@hotmail.com.

Hey Randy I used to race with your dad back in the 70s that little 4 banger used to eat up a lot of v8s . Sure is great to see you still have the jeep.. Mike
Truely a CJ2A with a life that most other CJ2A(s) will never know. It screams ‘fun’ just parked.
WOW! How do you get 350 HP out of an Iron Duke and make it live!?
Nice little Jeep Randy. Those “Iron Duke” engines are the perfect fit for those old Flattie’s. Enjoy!
