391: Reg Petford’s 1953 Willys Delivery Wagon
This is my 1953 Willys Delivery Wagon with a 1986 Grand Wagoneer under carriage. I paid $10 for it. I’m the 3rd guy to work on it and did the work myself even paint. Had help with the engine and wiring. It took 3 1/2 years.

Glen sorry just saw this blog. Yes there was a window scabbed in on each side. Terrible looking. So I drilled 70 holes per hole, used metal glue and rivets its an amateur job but looks OK.
GREG — SORRY Just saw this blog previous guy started has 86 grande wagoneer undercarrage frame shortened
JD sorry haven’t seen this post. Donor started by previous guy. 86 Grand Wagoneer undercarriage and motor – frame was poorly shortened so I reinforced it — AMC 360 I put 4 barrel intake and Edelbrock carb.
Good looking machine!
I think you did a tremendous job, I have a 55 wagon that I bought a few years ago have not done a lot to it , it’s just being driven now but I have plans to upgrade the drivetrain. I was curious, what all parts did you use from the donor? Thanks for sharing
I have a 55 that I am about to start. Did you use the original ‘53 frame with the wagoneer motor and tranny? Looking for info and ideas.
Greg
Great project and execution. Was there a window in the side? If so, good job fixing that.
