232: Gerry Rommel’s 1949 Willys Truck
This is our ’49 Willys Pickup. We’ve had it for 8 years and have worked hard on it the past 4 years. It was a piece of junk when we bought it and below is a list of the changes we have made. My wife and I did all the metal work, body work, paint and all the mechanical work. The whole drive line has been changed out. Cummins 4bt diesel engine (1993), Chevy Turbo 400 trans, Dana 205 Transfer case, Dana 44 front axle (353 gears), Dana 60 rear axle (353 gears). Deaver front springs, Rancho adjustable shocks (RS9000Xl series). Power front disc brakes, powered by Hydroboost Power steering 37: Pro Comp tires, Line X spray-on bed liner, and Fluidyne radiator.

Can you tell me where you got those two bumpers. I’m doing a 52 pickup and both of those styles have caught my eye
Can you tell me where you got the mirrors? I am trying to get some mirrors on mine and I like those
That is a sweet looking truck, well done on all up grades too. I’m restoring a 61 now, hope mine looks that good when I’m done. Keeping Jeeps alive 1 at a time. I have 3. NICE JOB!
