206: Joey Drennon’s 1946 Willys CJ-2A
I bought this CJ-2A “as is” after being stored in a Semi trailer for 16 years. I shined it up, put brakes on it along with the fuel tank, fuel pump, plugs, wires, and rotor & cap. “All from Kaiser Willys of course” and it runs like a Go Devil!! Serial #31877 with 26,000 original miles. I Love My Willys!

Thanks Guys, my old Nelly Belle is my favorite vehicle. And you can’t see in the pictures but it is a column shift and all the parts are still there, but for now she’s gonna stay a 3 on the floor lol. Maybe we’ll see each other at the Willys show in Jefferson city Mo. This year. 🙂
Joey,
My first Jeep was a CJ-2A, and it had the steering column shift also. It’s serial # was 15052. A little earlier version. the most fun vehicle I have ever owned.
Sincerely,
Dave Jones
Great find. Enjoyed your photos! 46 had Column shift until late in the year so I am surprised this one has a stick shift. We have one from similar era. Hope they get to visit with each other some day.
