180: Frank Cole’s 1957 Willys Truck
My name is Frank Cole, this is my 1957 Willys Truck. I have installed a 396 big block chevy and a Muncie 465 trans with a 203 transfercase. 35 X14.5 x15 inch tires. I built the bed from an old military trailer. I designed the decals to show all the branches of military the Willys served in. Hope you all like it.

Hello All
I was surprised to see my truck made Willys of the week.
Thanks for the comments. I also should have mentioned that the body is sitting on a 1978 Blazer Frame the axels as well. I had to cut two holes (6×6 for valve covers) in the fire wall for engine to fit. I have a Willwood hydraulic clutch system. Has for the decal I have deigned it my self I had a local decal shop make it for me as well with the rear window decal the size of the stars are 12″ dia. on door and 3″ on bed. Yes if you want you can copy and have your own made. If your not able to email me and I can get you cost of them and send them to you. colef67@yahoo.com . I don’t know what the $ amount is but to me it’s priceless because all three of my sons and wife help me build this truck. I and my two oldest sons have served in the military so we built it for all veterans and to help remind people the cost of freedom and how much the WILLY’s vehicle was involved with it. You can find a local car appraisers and find the value of yours
Once again Thanks Frank /Wild WILLY
I love it, as a Viet Nam vet I especially appreciate the tribute. I am in the process of having my ’63 restored as original. My Willy has less than 40k miles; he didn’t get out much.
What kind of lift kit did you use? Are the axles stock and if so do the tires scrub the frame?
Frank, Would like to see some pic’s under the hood, have a 46 that I put a Buick V-6 toped with a high rise 4 brl. holly, screams, also has a 400 auto GM trans.
Regards, Doug
What is the value of a 1957 pickup, runs good, original engine with 180k. Tow bar on front. Some rust in bed. Do you know lows and highs? Thanks Sherry
I have a 1957 willys jeep pickup. It has original engine, runs but has rust in bed. Has tow bar on the front. Do you have any idea what it might be worth. 150k on original engine. good clean condition.
I want to sell it but don’t know what it might be worth. One man told me they did not make many in that year. I am the third owner. First owner was the City of Pendoreille in Idaho, individual from their and now me. Just wondered if you had any ideas of low to high. I have not seen many in the codition yours and mine are in. thanks sherry
Nice build! I love your decal – – can they be bought?
The truck looks assume. I have a 62 Overland I am painting olive drab with the stars like yours. Can I copy your design or do you have any I can purchase. I love that it covers all branchs of the military. My Willys has been in the family for 30 years. I drove it. my son drove it and now it is being fixed up for my Grandson.
