106: John Danna’s 1969 CJ-5 Jeep
This is my 1969 CJ-5, 225 V6 Warn overdrive, Konig PTO 10,000 pound winch. I’m in the process of doing a full restoration on my CJ!
I already boxed the frame, with the pieces I dimple died, just got the frame back from powder coating. Rebuilt both front and rear ends, converted the front end to disc brakes. I’m also adding power steering to the Jeep! I have been wanting to do this for a while, but the availability of parts was the problem!! Now that I found Kaiser Willys, I have found all my parts, making this restoration possible!!!
I’ve finally finished my CJ-5. Just a few minor things to adjust and fine tune!! Check out my Blog Album with many more photos of the restoration!

Nice CJ John
Our 67 is ready to fire this weekend. Complete frame up restoration which took us over a year to date. Hope to send some pic’s of ours also
I’ve known since 1978, he always does an awesome job on anything he takes on for a project.
Way to go, John! Next may be a few trips to some JEEP shows!!!
I had a new 1969 CJ5 outfitted just like it. Took it over the Rubicon three times and drove it daily.
Yours looks good. Thanks for the memories.
Good work John. I like your CJ. I am in the process of doing a frame off on my 1966 also with a little help from Kaiser-Willys.
