029: Wolfgang Stoll’s 1963 Station Wagon
The Traveller is a 1963. It was used by the Swiss Red Cross organization for about one year, then it was sold to a small Swiss community as a vehicle for the local fire brigade. They kept the car until 1995. For the next seven years there were no documents to be found.
In 2002 the car appears in South Germany and was brought back to the public car traffic. Until August 2010 there were 4 German owners and the car moved from South Germany to West Germany up to Berlin, where I bought the car via ebay in August 2010.
My son and I and a good car technician started to restore the car, it took us until late spring 2011. But now it is in quite good condition and we have a lot of fun. We visit US-car meeting, and believe me, this old Willys is an eye catcher. Now the car is back in South Germany not far from the Swiss border.
– All the best and good luck.

Are the rear seats original or did you build them. I have a 63 traveller that I am restoring. Its hard to find any info on the travellers. Any info that you would like to share would be great.

Hallo Wolfgang Stoll.
This is very unusual seeing such a nice Willys in Germany. I have my 1963 Willys in Australia since 1988.
I am very happy for You and for my.
All the best

It is an old car but still in good shape. I like how you repair your car. It’s cool
