Needing template of side windows for 51 willys pickup.
Mark I too have a 59′ Wagon. To get the window and door handles off get a good long pin punch and hammer. The pin punch needs to be 1/8 inch dia. punch, I found a long set at Habour Freight. Pay attention to which way the pin wa inatalled. On the door handle they were punched in down so you want to punch them up. The window handles you will have to look for the swelling from being punched in and simply tap them the opposite way out. Once the handles are off take the liner off the door panel, mine were screwed in, then the rest is taking the holding screws out and removing the device and actuaror from the window which is held on with spring clips. Note: you must palce a block of wood under the window frame or that sucker will slam down and possibly shatter the window.
I picked up a 1959 Willy Wagon about a month ago and am starting to deconstruct it. I am trying to remove the door panels, but have a question about something that should be fairly simple. Does anyone have any experience in removing the inside door handles and window crank? By the way I am glad to see this BLOG, I appreciate you puttin it up
Awesome job on the blog.
