Those who don’t already know the name “Dave Logan” from within the Jeeping community, definitely should. Dave Logan’s passion for Jeeps began in 1993, when he went for a ride in a Jeep with a friend and was promptly allowed to drive it through the beautiful landscape of southern Colorado. After returning home, he purchased his own Jeep and has been involved in 4 wheel drive clubs and associations since. Dave started training full time in 2007, founding his own company, 4WD School, where he instructs others on how to properly use and drive a 4×4 vehicle.
Dave is an international certified 4 Wheel Drive Trainer and has been all over the world educating military and civilians alike. He is also involved in the local RTP Recreational Trail Programs with the US Forest Service and is a Master “Tread Lightly” Trainer educating others on the environmental concerns of offroading and how to treat the land with respect. Kaiser Willys is more than pleased to announce that Dave will be in attendance this year at the Kaiser Willys Classic Jeep Show and Jeep Invasion in Aiken, SC.
During an interview with Rachel Hodgkins at Omix-ADA, Dave was gracious enough to show us around the impressive Jeep Collection that is owned and housed there. (Stay tuned – more on this tour to come!) Dave is the curator for the collection, assists in finding new vehicles, and is quite passionate about the history and back-story behind each acquirement. A small sampling of what the Jeep Collection has in store includes a Willys MB, Ford GPW, Ford GPA, 1946 Willys CJ-2A, 1967 CJ-6, and a Willys M38… The Willys M38 will be on display at this Saturday’s Classic Jeep Show and Jeep Invasion at the Aiken Music Fest. If you’ll be joining us this Saturday (and we hope you will), you’ll have the treat of learning more about this collection, and trading stories and Jeep history with Dave Logan!
