1 of 52 reported civilian cj5s purchased by the US navy for non combat operations. Most, if not all we’re stationed on the west coast. We are only the 3rd owner on this Jeep since it was auctioned by the US government in 1983. It underwent a 10 year restoration by the previous owner who has become a friend since we acquired it. This jeep is frequently driven and is maintained by myself and my father who also has a Jeep Willys. This Jeep is from north Island Naval Air Station and we have met a few veterans over the last couple months that remember it on the air base. Most reports say it was used as a maintenance truck, but others say that it was more often used to transport pilots from there plane to the bar at the end of the run way after their shift that still exists. We plan on taking the jeep back there this spring.

This is a beautiful jeep — nice job in bringing it back to its original condition. Is this vehicle for sale at this time. I have a friend who loves these types of jeeps and is always in the market for one. I’d love to put you 2 in contact if you are interested in selling it.

Stanley,
Awesome Willys!!! I am curious how the M100 trailer lights are hooked up to the Jeep and whether it has a pintle hook or not?
Thanks and again…very nice!
