My 1968 CJ-5 was purchased by a friend in 1968 and I acquired the Jeep in the 70’s. I used the jeep for everything from hauling wood to joy riding. I have three daughters that all learned how to drive in the jeep. I have eight grandkids that also have learned to drive in it. I now have two great-grand boys that I seriously doubt will learn to drive in it though after the two year restoration it has gone through. The Jeep has become a part of our family and is filled with much love, memories, and joy. It has not only withstood grandchildren but the fact that six of them are boys! The jeep has stood strong through all of the adventures that have come its way. Kaiser has been a big part of restoring the Jeep back to its original condition with the help of Distel Restoration. My youngest daughter, Jenni is pictured driving the jeep in the 80’s at age 11 and as you can see she is still enjoying it in the photo of her standing in front of it as it is today. Attached are photos of the jeep prior, during, and after the restoration.
