My 1962 Willys CJ-5 was purchase in 1965 by my dad when I was still in grade school. I “helped” my dad and grandad install the new canvas enclosure before their elk hunting trip to Colorado. Growing up I witnessed our Willys endure a hail storm— resulting in a new canvas enclosure— and buried in a blizzard— with only a portion of the canvas top exposed. Many more elk hunting trips to Colorado over the years and ultimately parked in my folks garage for the passed twenty five years. Rescued this past May and with a new gas tank, spark plugs, carb kit and brake rebuild it now leads a pampered life at Lake Texoma. Remains all original and plan to keep it that way.
