This story begins at a dilapidated gold mine in Montana where a friend discovered a well used jeep while elk hunting. He was able to purchase the 1951 CJ-3A with a clean title and trailered it to Minnesota where it took up residence, for most of 4 years, in his double garage before he decided he couldn’t find time to restore it. I bought it, hauled it home where I found a spot for it in my unused pony barn. It sat in the corner for an additional 5 years when another friend convinced me that he would certainly restore it. He bought it, moved it into his shop and disassembled everything. It sat in boxes and corners of his shop for an additional 2 plus years. I bought it back, trailered it home, Carried it into my shop in pieces, where my wife and I started a 5 year frame off restoration. I now have two friends who would love to buy it back, sorry guys – NOT FOR SALE.
