When I bought this Jeep I read people’s stories on-line about how it took them 2 or 3 years to finally figure out and fix all of the issues with their Jeeps. I thought that I wasn’t going to need three years, and I was right. Seven years later and I’m hopefully finishing the last piece an engine rebuild. (I kind of did it all backwards). Every project, once I got up my resolve to start them, at first seemed uncompleteable and would make me regret I ever bought such an old vehicle, but then, when I was nearing Jeep despair, all would go together and I’d feel a huge feeling of accomplishment that I figured it all out. Almost every piece in the Jeep came from Kaiser Willys, one box at a time. The UPS driver must have thought I fixed Jeeps for a living because he delivered parts to me so often. I took these pictures when I first got the Jeep driving. I was so excited that I drove it to school, even though it didn’t really have brakes yet. My theater students are here hamming it up in it.
